This is another trip we took in the fall~mid October. We hopped on the MRT(subway) and rode an hour to the coast. We enjoyed walking around the harbor and looking at all the boats! We couldn't help but think of Papaw Darryl and his love for boats!
We had been told about the GIANT icecream cones in Danshui. So we were sure to put that on the top of our list of things to get while we were there.
Courtney had really been missing Bubba (Papaw Eli's mule) so she was thrilled to get the chance to ride horses along the beach. Shawn and I got a laugh out of the irony of the safety precautions they took on these rides...a mounting platform, helmets, and best of all, a handle bar strapped to the horse. We couldn't help but laugh considering how vulnerable we feel as we barryl through the curvy mountain roads on the bus barely able to hang on at times.
