The last few weeks of school were busy ones for me. I had somehow managed to be instrumental on the planning team for Courtney's 6th grade end of the year party. With over 500 students in the 6th grade it turned out to be quite the undertaking. Despite a few very minor hitches, everything went quite well and the kids had a super time saying "Good-bye" to middle school as they head to the Jr. High...which is right next door.
The dunk tanks were quite a hit...literally. This is one of their favorite math teachers! He very boldly heckled and razzed the kids and they very boldly took him down!
We had 4 tanks total. The school principal and 2 of the gym teachers also braved the booths. Personally I think they were the smart ones. It was a very hot day and there were times I would have been tempted to jump in the tank!

The day before the party we had over 50 volunteers help fill 3,500 water balloons! The kids did a water balloon toss in pairs. Anyone who didn't bust their balloons got to throw them at their teachers at the end.
Line dancing and limbo were at another station.
We were also blessed to have dilly bars donated by DQ!
