For around 20 cents Clayton created his own Silly Straw Glasses that allows his drink to go from the glass to behind his left ear, around each eye, behind his right ear and then into his mouth!

Ingenuity!
This is just another blog post that witnesses to the fact that our clever little 2nd grader is constantly thinking! A few weeks ago we stopped in a home improvement store to look at closet organizers for Courtney's room. While we were there Clayton asked if we could pick up some plastic tubing for an invention he was working on. Being the wonderful parents we are, we try to encourage and support his creativity whenever possible and so we helped him find the supplies he needed. He set straight to work as soon as we got home. It turned out that he had seen "silly straw glasses" as a prize at Chuck E Cheese's and he got the idea that he could make his own using plastic tubing and a couple of pipe cleaners for a lot less than the cost of earning the necessary amount of prize tickets.
His invention was a succes!
